Since 2010 Daniel Aue has been working as an independent artist. His first exhibition was in the year of 2011 at the Enjoy Jazz Festival in Heidelberg.

Aue studied Geography and Romance studies at the University of Heidelberg, Aix en Provence and Berlin. He is a professional pedagogue and after his studies he worked as a tourist guide. His journey led him to New Guinea, North- and South America, the Arctic and the Antarctic.

In 2009 he was interduced by an artist in Spain to the tecnique of mineral paintings. Apart from this initial experience Aue is an all-round autodidact. His motif selection is a result of passionate admiration: the masters, the giants of jazz. Aue aims to attract the spectators view to a trance-like concentration of the selected jazz musicians.
