About the artist

Jürgen Heinz works with steel. With his MOVING SCULPTURES, the artist transcends the insurmountable
gap between archaic, heavy steel and gentle movement. The objects conceal their mobility in a closed form, which is first perceived as static plastic.

A slight impulse, a touch or a breath of wind makes the sculpture vibrate and awakens its liveliness. The MOVING SCULPTURES by Jürgen Heinz communicate with the viewer, touch, cast a spell and encourage action.

2015 Jury Prize Winner 18th Sculpture Park Mörfelden-Walldorf

Jürgen Heinz takes part in renowned exhibitions and art fairs at home and abroad, including Contemporary Art Ruhr, Art Karlsruhe, Affordable Art Fair Hamburg, Affordable Art Fair Brussels, Art Strasbourg, Basel Contemporary. He exhibits nationally and internationally as part of solo, two artists or group exhibitions. His works are partly temporary and partly permanent in public spaces, in museums and art spaces such as the sculpture hall of the Roland Phleps Foundation for Concrete Art.

"The soul of the object comes out through the movement." Jürgen Heinz
