We are delighted to participate again this year and to present works in stone, brass, and bronze by Claudia Pense, alongside Mediterranean paintings by the Spanish artist couple Esther Miranda and Jesús Miguel Rodríguez de la Torre.
Claudia Pense – Stone in Dialogue
Since the beginning of her artistic career, Claudia Pense has been deeply engaged with the material of stone. Her work is shaped by an exploration of natural processes of change – time, erosion, growth, and transformation.
Again and again, she places stone in a compelling dialogue with other materials, as seen in her “Duads,” where basalt meets brass. From this interaction emerge powerful works in which the grown, archaic material encounters the gleaming, human-crafted metal. Nature meets design; permanence meets accent.
Esther Miranda and Jesús Miguel Rodríguez de la Torre
The artist couple lives and works on their finca in the sun of Andalusia, where they have found their place for both life and artistic creation. Their works are created in the light and colors of Spain – the result of a continuous, often philosophical dialogue in the language closest to them: art.
Esther Miranda – Stories of People and Sunbeams
Her works are characterized by an attitude of openness and hope. Alongside conceptually profound pieces, she repeatedly creates smaller formats that appear like little rays of sunshine. They tell of positive everyday moments: a walk through the city in spring, a pause on the grass or on a bench. Colorful and light, they evoke the approaching spring and offer a sense of optimism.
Jesús Miguel Rodríguez de la Torre – Humanity, Myth, and Creative Energy
Jesús Miguel Rodríguez de la Torre approaches existential themes through symbolism and the human figure. In “Amazonia,” the female warrior appears as an embodiment of a human being deeply connected to nature. She represents protection, resistance, and responsibility toward the environment – powerful, determined, and profoundly human.
“The Artist” reflects on creative dedication. The artist gives everything – emotions, energy, the innermost self. The act of creation is understood here as an act of giving. Art has the power to bring new worlds into being and to expand our horizons.

Under Friedrich Schiller’s guiding principle — “Art is a daughter of freedom.” — this year two female artists and seven male artists present socially and politically relevant works. They take a stand, encourage closer observation, and inspire us to remain critical, take responsibility, live our values — and above all, to remain free.
Art continues to be a vital corrective within society, and it both may and should assume this role.
In his ONE-ARTIST SHOW at this year’s art KARLSRUHE, artist Jürgen Heinz addresses the question of how democracy is changing — a topic that continues to shape our present profoundly. Can democracy still be saved? Does this responsibility lie solely with politics — or also with each individual in our society?
We look forward to inspiring you again this year and to welcoming you for personal conversation at our booth:
Hall 4, DM-Arena, L15.
Stay optimistic.
Warm regards,
Petra Kern & Team
We wish everyone a happy new year 2026!
"Zeitgeist" – The Spirit of Times – Overcoming Fear and Flying with Confidence
We live in a time when the ground beneath our feet feels unsteady. Democracy seems to be retreating, while we lose ourselves in confusion and entanglement. Fear often sits as a silent passenger in our thoughts – and yet, we must keep flying.
The exhibition “Zeitgeist – Flying with Confidence and Overcoming Fear” invites you to experience precisely this tension. Artists Jürgen Heinz and Karen Shahverdyan present works that inspire courage when orientation feels lost.
The Moving Sculptures of Jürgen Heinz and the Hyperrealism in Oil of Karen Shahverdyan are not an escape, but a call for steadfastness – a reminder that movement and inner clarity remain possible, even in the midst of a storm.
We look forward to your visit.
